We recently stopped here on our way back from the US from our home in Mexico. The place is a gem. It starts with the fact they we have a plane and this town has a GREAT airport. We were picked up at the airport by a very nice man in the hotel van. He was very helpful. When we... More

Posada is beautifly decorated and the food is great. Loved the town and the home tours. Wine is delicious and staff very accomodating. The selection in the gift shops is excellent. I'll stay here again when I return.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful gardens and the sounds of the fountain water flowing in to the pool. Spa services available. Rooms are clean and well appointed with local furnishings. Quiet. Free internet in the room. Toured other hotels in Alamos and this one along with its sister hotel (Hacienda de Los Santos) were... On a previous visit to Alamos we had a very enjoyable lunch at Los Santos and enjoyed the grounds but could not afford to stay. Thanks so much for adding the B&B. The manager, Michael, was most helpful and informative. He said additional remodeling is planned to provide even better access to the main grounds.

The staff and food and the whole experience was more than I expected. It also was great to meet the owner and his wife and my now good friend Michael who was out standing.

This is the first time I take the time to write about how good our experience was in this property. I travelled last hour to Alamos Sonora in Mexico so when I got there I didn’t have a place to stay. I visit this property as I was passing by and encounter the most beautiful natural scene and unique property... More

Our family of 5 had a recent stay in Posada Tacubaya, and had the most enriching, meaningful, and fun trip to date. Hands down, beat Disney by a million miles. Graciously, we were served our meals poolside, in the colonial dining room, bedside, and even had a gourmet picinic packed for us to enjoy on a delightful afternoon hike. We... More

One thing is for sure: Alamos is a town in decline, and I will never return. And Posada Tacubaya (and its lofty, adjacent parent: Los Santos...) reflect that. As twenty-year part-time Alamos residents said (hearkening back to Alamos's "better days"), then Los Santos would never to stoop to having a B&B. And the stooping is what creates my ambivalence. It... More

Because summer is not their busy season, we were fortunate enough to be the only guests at the Posada for a night and two days. It was a delightful experience. It's a beautifully restored colonial home with an interior patio / garden with a lovely pool. The patio has fantastic shared spaces that would provide enough room even if the... More
