We stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. It is located right on the lake, the rooms are very neat, clean, extremely comfortable, and very spacious. The breakfast which is included in the price was delicious (all the meals are good) and the servers were gracious. Wi Fi was available in our room which is nice. Security was... More

I booked rooms via email here for my husband and myself, and for my three sisters and their husbands who were visiting from the US. They said they had availability so I sent the names and my credit card number. I knew we would be arriving a little late and they hadn't charged my card so I called to verify... More

This is a family run posada. The rooms are very large. Lots of emphasis on security (CCTV cameras everywhere, keypad entry to 2nd floor rooms) which was reassuring. The food was quite good, including eggs Benedict for breakfast. We got back late one night to discover all restaurants were closed. The receptionist stayed late to ensure we could get a... More

My wife and I spent 12 days at La Nueva Posada and were treated royally. The Eager family were amazing and went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable and safe. The location of the Hotel is on Lake Chapala and you here the waves gently crashing on the shore at night. The food is excellent, our... More

This hotel cares about the guests. Manager Mike and his wife are a charming couple who take a personal interest in the comfort of the guests in this charming and quiet hotel setting on the shore of lake Chapala. In addition to comfortable rooms, the hotel has a world class restaurant with a view of the lake through a lush... More

Stayed here for 7 nights. First night I was put in the hell room #102 DO NOT stay in this room. Very noisy near the security gate and little privacy as it is located along the main upper hallway. Changed rooms for a $5.00/night upgrade the following day. Much better but very hot and stuffy. Some of the rooms do... More

Paid $75 per night for myself, my wife and our grandaughter. Room was very nice, great king size bed and wonderful mattress. Very clean, breakfast included, located right on Lake Chapala with beautiful views from many rooms and the dining room in particular. Very kind and helpful staff. More

If I had the money, I would offer to buy this beautiful boutique hotel, sitting on the edge of Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico in the town of Ajijic. The decor is quaint Mexican, with bright colors, and lots of Mexican decoration. The room we stayed in (June 2009) was large and comfortage with two queen size beds. Everything is clean--they... We stayed at the Posada for 3 nights. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, but security is top drawer, which to me took the edge off the climb up the stairs. Being June, we were going into the rainy season. 2 nights out of 3, we experienced massive lightening storms and power outages. WiFi is off and on, but it is... More

I'm from Tennessee and have 2d home in La Floresta Ajijic. When I visit to meet with my mgr each year, my house is usually leased, so I stay at La Nueva Posada...so many times it seems like a 2d home to me. Michael, Rita et al are just like family to me and are so kind and helpful. The... More
