What a great place to stay. The cabins were great and very homelike. Kitchenette was ampily prepared with all of the things you need. Satellite and wifi, what more do you need. Judy and Olaf are simply amazing and accomadating. We were "stuck" and extra 3 days and they did everything to reduce our stress of being "stranded". The sno... More

4 of us stayed here for the weekend to enjoy the north. We were met at the airport, taken back to the Chalet, checked in and taken to our warm and cozy cabins. It was cold outside, but lovely inside our cabin. We had the Birchwood and Twilight cabins. The snowmobile tour to the outpost cabin followed by an Arctic... More

We were a group of 6 people heading out to do a canoe trip, so we stayed the night before our flight out, and stayed the night we returned. We loved the place. With white huskies, a trail to walk, and nice, compact, clean cabins, this is as authentic as it gets in northern Canada. Judi works hard to make... More

We stayed in cabin number 3 (Cloudberry) in July 2011. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The chalet gets its water supply delivered by tanker from the town’s supply. It is clean and perfectly safe to drink, but we noticed a musty aftertaste. Boiling the water removes this taste, and by refrigerating some overnight you have tasteless water... More

Very cozy cabin with modern ammenities. Fantastic to experience the midnight sun. We had a goog night's sleep and were not too disturbed by the barking of the huskies. Our host, Jan, was very helpful and gave lots of information. On the other hand, we were disappointed by the Tuk tour which at 420$ per person was very expensive! The... More

Judi & Olav provide for all your needs from a comfy place to rest to adventurous tours of the Arctic north of Inuvik. This is one location you must stay and visit should your travels take you to the Western Northwest Territories. If you drive the Dempster Highway you turn off just before reaching the town of Inuvik. If you... More

We had no reservations, but were accommodated in a clean, efficient cabin with kitchen. Had all the ammenities anyone would need to stay comfortably, including Wi-Fi. The beautiful white Siberian Huskies were a treated. Well-behaved. They didn't bark or cause problems and are an added "attraction" More

I can’t say enough about my 7 days at Arctic Chalet – it was an excellent experience and one which exceeded all of my expectations. I flew to Inuvik at end of March, was collected at airport by Arctic Chalet staff and then checked into a very clean, warm, and comfortable cabin. Arctic Chalet is located on a lake a... More

After driving up the Dempster we stayed at the Arctic Chalet for 2 nights. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The supplies in the kitchen were adequate and we added a few things with a quick stop at the grocery store. The dogs were friendly and we took one for a short hike one morning. The dogs are remarkably quite... More

We were two men from Denmark, which this summer was on a five-week canoe expedition on rivers in the northern NWT. Canoe and all the gear we rented from Arctic Charlet and we had a couple of nights here before we started the expedition. The cabines are clean and very cozy and contains precisely as needed. Olav and Judi were... More
