We visited for one day (October 14, 2011) passing through and were treated like royalty. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a lovely time and enjoyed our breakfast table next to a row of bird feeders along the river. We spent a peaceful two days at the lodge and enjoyed everything about the place. The opportunities for hiking, swimming etc were just right. The rooms were comfortable but we thought a little overpriced), especially in the off season. The dining room was very good (but not outstanding). This was our second stay at the Liscombe Lodge..

The whole place seemed very out-dated and tired but the worst experience was the restaurant. There was live entertainment in the form of a pianist who dominated the scene with out of tune and off tempo music - painful !
