**Booking process: We went to Cape Breton towards the last third of October to enjoy the beautiful Indian summer. After doing very little research, we went to the Nova Scotia Tourist Office and asked them to help us find accommodation. People at the office have pretty much all the hotels' availability, and when in doubt, can call to double-check and... More

This inn is on the outskirts of Cheticamp in a beautiful setting. It has friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast is part of the room package and you are able to order from a menu. The dining room was a well run busy place, in fact it was hard to believe there were that many people at the inn... More

We had a pleasant stay at the Auberge Doucet Inn in a nice large clean room with kitchenette and separate entrance on the east side of the main building. We experienced friendly service when we arrived at dusk, and the lady at the office made sure we knew that we could park right in front of our room and that... More

The Inn is very well located on a hill just before you arrive in Cheticamp. The red paintes buildings look like a farmhouse. The room on the first floor, facing the waterfront, was very clean, big and quit. There is no elevator available! The made-to-order breakfast is included in the price. The service was more like in a B&B, but... More

Great place to stay, the free breakfast was your typical fare (a la carte, not buffet) and included with your stay. The rooms were clean and the grounds surrounding the hotel were quite lovely, and we'll lit at night. The proprietor was very friendly, and called around to find us live local music with dinner which was appreciated. We'd definitely... More

The Auberge Doucet is on the top of a hill alongside the Cabot Trail just south of Cheticamp. We had a studio on the first floor, with two double beds and a single. Very clean, and with more space than we had expected. The room decor made us feel like we were staying at a distant relative, i.e. home-style amateur... More

We stayed one night and found, for the amount of money we paid, the room was a little tired and outdated. However, the views are great whether you have a room in the front or the back of the hotel. Reception was great and helpful. They recommended some restaurants and made reservations for us. Breakfast was decent however, they were... More

This was the most expensive place we stayed in Nova Scotia and by far, the least value. The breakfast was perfunctory and the room adequate; nothing special. On the other side, it was clean and the receptionist was pleasant. Best part of this place is the location near All Aboard restaurant.

We stayed at The L’Auberge Doucet Inn for two nights in the middle of June while we were touring The Cabot Trail in Cape Breton. The Inn is in a good location very close to the southwest entrance to the park. It is located at the top of a slight incline away from the traffic on the main road (Cabot... More
