We were given a basement suite. There were no screens on the windows so you could not open them, There were dead bugs on the window stills and the floor. You could see dirty marks on the doors and walls. The place needed a thorough cleaning and paint. more

Comerfords was a great place to stay the house we stayed in was spacicious and very clean . we had 3 bedrooms a nice big kitchen and very large living room. the staff was very frendly and helpfull. We were looking for a cabin or efficiency within about 30 minutes of St. John's and Witless Bay when we found Comerford's listing in the Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism Department's guide. We made the "reservation" by phone as we were driving east on theTCH, and it was such a wonderful bit of luck. more

About 25 mins. from downtown St. John's, Comerfords has one, two, and three-bedroom completely furnished apartments at very reasonable prices. In 2002 my wife & I stayed here for the entire month of July, using it as a base for day trips throughout eastern Newfoundland. We made a return visit this past August for several days. This place was one of the most pleasant surprises I've come across in years. The units are large, clean and luxuriously furnished and decorated. Centrally located on the Avalon Peninsula Holyrood a Destination near St. John's offers guests all the coveniences of home at a terrific value. Our three bedroom unit was well worth it and I have paid alot more for much less. more
