Filthy, dated room facing parking lot. Rugs were moist and smelly. Bed linens did not feel clean. Guests... who we assumed were a work crew drinking beer and yelling in the parking lot all night. This property is falsely advertising their amenities and condition on the internet. Do not waste your money here.

Not much choice when on business. The Driftwood Inn still an old dated motel but the rooms recently painted and much brighter and cleaner. Staff very friendly and restaurant good.

We've stayed here a couple times now while visiting a family member who lives in the area. The hotel is better than the other hotel we've stayed at in the same area. My brothers room I think was updated, it had nice clean white sheets with a kIng bed. Our room had not been updated, old multi-colored blankets ( which... More

Driftwood Inn was very accommodating to our large group and went out of their way to meet our schedule requirements with a wonderful early morning breakfast and overall a pleasant stay. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean despite the character look of an older hotel. Location of the hotel is also great as it's right on the water and wonderful... More

I have fond memories of my all-too-breif stay at the Driftwood last week. Sure , the room and the food are fine, the view spectacular enough, but I've found in my travels, what I most remember is the people. The staff were considerate and engaging - always willing to help out. And quite possibly more important than anything, without a... More

Derek, As managers of The Driftwood Inn we count ourselves lucky to meet the great people who come through here. But on occasions such as your visit we aren't just lucky but spoiled to enjoy our own private laughathon! Rick Mercer is right, you are Canada's funniest man. Glad you had a good lie down before your stand-up. Heather and... More

The hotel needs some TLC but I know the new owners are trying very hard to get things updated. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The view from our very small beach facing balcony was partially blocked by the trees along the path. The path with benches was a nice plus. The restaurant food was excellent and... More

Thank you for your comments. The waterfont rooms certainly are the premium location. Many of the King standard rooms have windows front and back for good ventilation and the standard rooms all have fans. The hotel is continously being upgraded and we're glad you noticed how comfortable the new beds are. Come again and look forward to seeing yet more... More

The Driftwood hosted a wedding for our family and they went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion. The chef worked with us to create a beautiful meal and management helped with both the room setup and the event itinerary. Thanks to the willing and courteous wait staff, the whole evening went smoothly and we were thrilled with... More

It was a pleasure to host your event. We just wish you could have left behind the three harpists that greeted all your guests. They were a real testament to their teacher ( the bride!). What a perfect compliment to a seaside wedding reception. Cheers. Heather and Don Bilodeau More

This place is under new management and it shows. Heather and Don are working hard to upgrade the hotel. Of course, upgrades take time. Our room (which looked out on the ocean) was recently redecorated. Great bed, nice colours, clean and appealing. Terrific view of the pebble beach. The patio door was old and tired but will soon be replaced.... More

Thank you for your good comments. You were such a nice family to watch together. It was great that you took advantage of the restaurant here on site for both the convenience and the nice food the chef and his team are putting out. If you come again, you may wish to reserve some of the King Standard rooms that... More

We stayed in 6 of this hotel's rooms/suites last year during our son's wedding and everyone enjoyed their stay . We returned this year with family and friends to redo the holiday and I can't say enough about the new managers there! Mr. & Mrs. Bilodeau are doing a super job, so helpful and friendly. The hotel has spectacular views...... More
