Have stayed here often. Don't let the age of the property stop you. The rooms are always clean, beds are comfortable. Most of the rooms I have stayed in have had some kind of local historical item in them. Ask for one of the rooms in the back of the motel. The Gene Autry room is cool. Negative? Internet access... The reception at the motel was friendly and knowledgeable. I stayed in room 1, themed "Mama's Room", and it was extremely comfortable and homey. It had little antiques relating to the theme of the room which were a really nice touch. The room had the comfort of a modern room (wireless internet, new flat screen tv with many cable channels),... Stayed one night on our way back to Calgary airport. Best motel we have ever stayed in!! The guy on reception was brilliant and gave us the amazing 'Gene Autry' room, it was full of amazing little things like old bridles and horses, a brilliant kitchenette and amazing bed. Would definitely stay again!! More

I stayed in Rm 106 which was decorated with antiques. Absolutety charming. The room faces the main highway but was very, very quiet.. The exterior which places the motel in the middle 1900's belies it's interior and frienldy owner - manager. This is the nicest place I've ever stayed in in Canada. More

This was oir second stay and we just loved it, after driving from Edmonton to Seattle and back this was the best motel we stayed in the entire trip. The decor made you feel right at home can't wait till the next time we are in the area to stay again. :) More

Exhorbitant price. No internet (dial upp that is (1) in short supply and (2) does not work. Very old, if homey means old then its homy. No breakfast. Rude staff. kept scratching all night. More

This is a great motel 90 miles from Calgary en route to US border and for us Glacier National Park. Reception was friendly and hospitable for two weary travellers from UK after a delayed flight (isn't the journey long enough?)The whole site is clean and well cared for and it shows when you drive in off the highway. (Drive past... More

This place is a gem. The Bluebird is so unique. The theme rooms are almost like little museums. They have so much charm and personality -- something sadly lacking in the other chain hotels. Last year we stayed in the Gene Autry Room, this year the Homestead Room. Both occasions were delightful. The rooms are immaculate and service at the... More

We have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting relatives near Claresholm. This summer we plan to take our children and grandchildren to Claresholm and will visit at the Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump and at Fort McLeod, both a short driving distance from Claresholm. We have stayed in several of the theme rooms at the Bluebird Motel and... More

Stayed here on our way from Utah to Anchorage, AK. Staff was friendly, location was good (between Butte, Montana - Jasper AB, Canada), room was clean, pet friendly, and nicely decorated. Had a 4 burner electric stove with all necessary cooking essentials (kettle for boiling water, glasses, silverware, plates, etc). Nice fold-away ironing board in the wall, great water pressure...
