We had a 'superior' room, it was clean and comfortable, but some modernisation in the bathroom would not go amiss. The service and food made up for this shorfall, the staff went out of their way to meet our needs. Went on a 'cheap break' wouldn't pay full price.

I booked this break before reading the reviews and nearly cancelled! I'm glad I didn't because this was a lovely, friendly, characterful hotel. We stayed in one of the barn rooms, which although a little limited for space was delightful. Friendly staff, good food, pleasant surroundings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
