The first thing that was typically Soviet is the service - the lady at the receiption was more used to give orders than take. Canteen rather than restaurant served nutritious but not very flavoursome meals. This was our second trip to sunny beach and the Fenix was good choice, 2 adults, 10 & 12 yr olds and we were given a studio overlooking the pool, nice size room with small kitchen and a good size bathroom, room was nice and clean with a good seaview and was cleaned everyday with beds made and clean towels... went last sep booking again in sep was fab , staff so friendley , clean , laid back , very helpfull , loved are veiw of the sea , what a great place took my grandaughter with me aged 7 she loved it around 12 of us went around 20 this year ....

We stayed here again in September but took our family and friends. Staff were friendly. The hotel public areas are bright and airey - Very clean - Immaculate. If you not spoilt so this hotel for you! Clean, chip, close to sea,close to good local food and local attraction. Just one recommendation for Cook , I think that it possible to make breakfast more delicious and healthy for same cost.

We stayed in Fenix for a week in late august, we got 2 rooms with a door between. The rooms were clean and every day we got new towels . Meals are not good at all, we ate only outside.

If you want a cheap basic but clean hotel then go to the Fenix Hotel. Only take bed & Breakfast as there were so many complaints about the food but the breakfasts were a good choice, with plenty to eat. Take tea bags as there tea is very weak. Returned on the 17/09/11 after staying for one week with my mum and sister. We had a great time, room spotless and spacious room 506 over looking the pool which was great.we enjoyed many evenings close to the hotel in the bars and eating in the restuarants.but within a 10 min walk was more nightlife and alot more people!
