When I checked in, I was greated by the nicest desk attendant. The lobby is so interesting, and the historic element is quite appealing. I couldn't believe how large the guest room is. I especially liked the large bathroom and the flat screen TV. I had the steak and salad at the Cotton Mill Restaurant, it was the best I... more

First off, let me say that the reason I chose this hotel was due to its popular rating on TripAdvisor. I was greatly disappointed with the results. Upon arrival I was informed that they had overbooked the non-smoking king size rooms but had two double bed rooms available. Now I'm 6'3 so a double bed is not the ideal bed... more

The staff was very attentive. We stayed on Halloween weekend and they even had free pumpkins for carving. The room and bathroom were huge and the bed was comfortable. I loved the wine & cheese, milk and cookies and breakfast. Great value! more

This is the second time I stayed in the Inn. Thisd time, I had a smaller room, that was not as unique. Also, the first night we were given a room in the Annex. The room was near a very large heater that made a loud noise preventing my sleep. They moved us to the main front section the enxt... more

On our first trip to Winston-Salem (March 2009) we sought to find a bed & breakfast. The Brookstown Inn provided much more than that. It's setting, away from anything commercial (although close and conveniently located from major highways) is pleasant and quiet. The brick courtyard is a lovely place to sit and read or converse with family or others; the... more

My wife and I were very pleased with the Brookstown Inn this past Friday. We wanted to see Old Salem and find a convenient and non-chain motel to stay in and found it online. It is a converted Cotton Mill close to Salem. The room we had was huge and unlike any other we have stayed in since it retained... more

The staff were most helpful and courteous. Furnishings are so inviting and comfortable. The restaurant dinner cuisine was remarkably delicious and so well presented. Would like to have had breakfast there but it was closed. We will return! more

Brookstown Inn is in the perfect location to enjoy all that Winston Salem has to offer. The hotel is a short, pleasant 5 - 10 minute walk to charming "Old Salem," a beautifully preserved early American settlement. The hotel is also within walking distance (10 - 15 minutes) from modern downtown Winston-Salem. The hotel is located in a rennovated cotton... more

The Brookstown Inn is a lovely, charming hotel. It's in a renovated historic brick building and the staff (and the lobby itself) is welcoming and very pleasant. We paid less than $100 per night for a room with 2 queen beds--about the same as a chain hotel-- and that included a wine and cheese reception as well as delicious warm... more

For the price, this is the best experience I've ever had with a hotel, B&B or inn. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience, from the completely charming building and surrounding area (it's right near a wine bar, cafe and bakery) to the friendly staff. Our room was huge (a king suite with two levels, a microwave, mini-fridge, flat... more
