Paula and Steve were wonderful hosts. They provided my wife and i with recommendations on things to do downtown. The breakfast was outstanding. The Tuscany room was very comfortable and clean. We felt more like a guest in their home than a customer in a busy hotel. Coffee was ready outside our room every morning. And the B&B was within... More

If you're looking for the perfect place to stay, this is it. It's a charming B&B with equally charming hosts, Paula and Steve. Located in downtown historic Wilmington, it's a short walk to the waterfront, shopping, dining and attractions. It's tucked away on a beautiful side street and has lovely gardens as well as a large front porch equipped with... More

This was our first visit to Wilmington and the Camilla Cottage, and will certainly not be our last. We arrived at the Camilla on Christmas eve with a wonderful welcome from the Camilla's Vice President of Hospitality - Four Legged Group, Sparky. Sparky is Steve and Paula's gentle and friendly dog, and really knows how to welcome his guests (both... More

My wife and I stayed the first weekend of 2012. The home was very well decorated and tasteful, preserving both the time period of the home, but many modern conviences. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and we talked with them and other guests well after breakfast and could have longer. Both were well traveleld and had many great... More

I happily concur with the great reviews of Camellia Cottage. My favorite things: 1) Paula, Steve, and Sparky's genuine, warm attentiveness; 2) the beautiful, understated garden; 3) the Camellia soap/shampoo. My husband, two small dogs and I stayed in the Tuscany room and I look forward to returning to stay in the Henry Room. More

We have been going to the Camellia Cottage B&B for the past 4 years and have found the accommodations to be charming, excellent, and from a former age. Paula and Steve are the perfect hosts and Paula's breakfasts are to "die for". The delightful conversations that we all have over breakfast with the other guest is an added treat. We... More

We arrived at the door of Camelia Cottage with a hug, a "Merry Christmas", and a greeting from Sparky, a friendly mellow dog. Our room with the fireplace, antiques, and treats waiting (for both us and our dog) was cozy and extremely comfortable. We slept 10 hours a night and woke to amazing 3 course breakfasts every day. Oatmeal pancakes... More

Our stay was wonderful at the Camellia Cottage! We had no problem getting in touch with and making a reservation for the night of Thanksgiving as we were coming into town to visit family. The cottage-keepers were very warm, welcoming, flexible and accommodating to our needs as we came with two elders who had specific needs and three dogs. The... More
