The previous reviewer could not have stated the conditions any better, there is absolutely no effort to maintain the outside grounds. We were in a building that had a walkway over to it, there were many rotten boards and rails and places where people could get injured, this place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Lying against one building is... More

My husband and I needed a vacation and wanted to go to Cataloochee Valley. We were unfamiliar with the area and found a place to stay but it was filled and the person on the phone suggested Old Stone Inn as an alternate. I asked was it of equal quality and they said yes. We had until Thursday of the... More

Just returned from a 2 week vacation across several states and had to comment on our stay at the Old Stone Inn. Our little rustic cottage, with a deck in the trees, was very clean and comfortable!  The fine dining restaurant on site has exceptional food, service and ambience! The crackling fire in the big old stone fireplace ensures a... More

We were a little disappointed when we arrived as the rooms seemed a little basic although upon closer inspection all facilities were available, even an iron and they were quiet. We were also on a special deal so the overall deal was good value. However when we went into the restaurant we were delightfully surprised by the decor and after... More

We are from Myrtle Beach where food options abound, but the food at Old Stone Inn surpassed any dining options at home. The super friendly staff created a wonderful atmosphere. The Biltmore Package was a fantastic deal and the Oak Terrace Room provided a cozy respite from busy Asheville. We will definitely make this a annual trip!

Finding decent, affordable lodging available at the very busy time of the year when fall leaf colors have peaked in the North Carolina Mountains is not an easy task. The Old Stone Mountain Inn has reasonable rates that include the next morning’s full breakfast in their dining room. We stayed in a Rhododendron room with a comfortable king bed. It... More

I was not able to stay at the Inn but made a special trip to enjoy an evening meal. I chose the 5oz Filet and was most pleased. You couuld cut it with your fork. The dining room complete with woodburning fireplace creates a dining experience. The server was excellent.

A local store owner recommended this restaurant and said it was very good food and ronantic setting. The latter point was true, a cozy room with a big fireplace. The server was very nice and helpful, face us some great ideas for our visit to the area. The food however was a bit dissapointing. I have never seen food come... More

My husband and I stayed in this lovely place for one night, and the experience was great! The room was cozy ,clear and warm. It even gave us a little room map, haha. Breakfast was delicious and has many things to choose from.
