We had previously travelled across the US in an RV and had good memories of KOA campgrounds. This time we were travelling and staying in motels and hotels but this particular night we decided to have a change and we booked a cabin at this campsite. Location was beautiful especially with the Fall leaves everywhere. The cabin was small; just... More

This campground is definitely worth a visit. The campground is well laid out with mostly paved roads. The facilities are clean and the staff was welcoming. The train did come by a couple of times during the night but that didn't keep my family awake. My 3 year old loved both of the playgrounds and she always seemed to have... More

My fiancee and I stayed here in August 2011 for 3 nights in the "Kamping Lodge", it was perfect! We booked under a special that was buy 2 nights stay the 3rd for free which was a great deal! the lodge looked just like the pictures on the website, there was a small gas range, full size refrigerator, coffee maker,... A very nice campground. This was our first KOA experience and it was just fine. All employees were helpful and courteous. Restrooms/showers were excellent and very clean. On the morning of checkout it was pouring down rain and we were not rushed out of the campground. In other words, we dodged showers and took out time (past checkout time) to... More

We just stayed for the first time Labor Day weekend. The campground was nice ,spots a little too close together. The bathrooms was very clean. The only complaint I had was they charged $5 for each adult above 2....My son & his wife went with us and they charged $33 for the spot & $30 extra for 2 more adults, they were... More

Made reservations 2 weeks in advance for what was advertised as a heavily wooded site that was away from it all that also included water and electricity. It would be private where we wouldn't be right on top of our neighbor for my family to enjoy a camping trip over the Labor Day holiday. When we arrived we were escorted... More

This was our first RV outing with our new TT and our first RV park experience. We enjoyed KOA East very much. The sites were adequate and section E along the lake was beautiful and had full hookups. Cable TV was clear and stream through property was gorgeous. Pool was clean and well maintained. Playgrounds were also in good repair.... More

This was an awesome place to go with the family. There was an ice cream social, mini golf, a little river to play in, a pool, and many other activities for my kids. We had a fabulous time. We stayed in the lodge as well as one of the camping cabins and they were both fantastic. I would highly recommend... More

We spent 3-nights over Memorial Weekend in a pop-up with two kids and a dog. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful and our only complaint was the tightly-squeezed in campsites, a problem exagerated by the large, holiday weekend crowd. The Asheville-East is a great base location to sightsee in the area - we visited Black Mountain,... More

We stayed at the Asheville East KOA over Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. The park was full, but not crowded. Our kids were wild for the ice cream sundaes each night, as well as the regular activities including a small pool and a cool, shallow stream for tubing (with a nice grassy expanse for parents to relax...
