It's not the Hilton or the Hyatt, but that's not what I was looking for. I stayed a week just at the beginning of the season, so the kitchen was only just getting into gear. The menu was limited, but the food was good. Mike, the owner cooked me a satisfying waffle, omelet and bacon breakfast every morning to get... More

My husband and I traveled to the Spruce Pine area for my Aunt funeral services. We rented a room at this motel due to the fact that it was close to where her services were being held and because the rates were good. The place isn't the worst I have seen, isn't the best either, but was definately not worth... More

We did not intend to be insensitive to the fact that the mmosbournes were attending a funeral. In fact we went out of our way to accommodate with a free hot breakfast in their room on Saturday morning . However, there were mitigating circumstances which compelled us to not allow them to stay past check out time. The room was... More

My wife and I have just returned from a very relaxing stay at Skyline Village Inn and already we are discussing our next visit. We wanted just a night away from it all and a place to unwind, have a few beers and a nice view and Skyline was definitely the place to go. It is quite difficult to compose... More

My daughter and I just stayed at the Skyline. It was early March, so the restaurant was closed, and we were the only ones staying there. The check-in was smooth, and the room was just fine. They had free videos to use, and the cable worked great. Breakfast was simple but no complaints. The only complaint I had was the... More

Our group did a Murder Mystery Weekend for New Year's Eve (Roaring 20's), and it was fabulous! It was coordinated ahead of time with our group organizer (i.e. food, alcohol, weekend price, etc). The food was wonderful! At dinner time I mentioned I am gluten intolerant, and the owner assured me that if I had called ahead of time she... More

My family and dog stayed at the Skyline Village Inn at the end of October 2011. Our double bed room was large, comfortable and nicely kept. The view from the balcony right outside our door was amazing. The staff from the beginning was kind and always going out of their way to help us out and make us feel at home.... More

Beautiful views from this quaint Inn. We had a wonderful time during the Murder Mystery weekend. Food was great. Loved the pumpkin waffles and the sweet potato soup so much.

On our first trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway(from Cherokee), we didn't know what to expect. We didn't know the times it would take to get to each segment of our trip, or how the accomodations would be. We planned on driving from one end of North Carolina to the other in 3 days and driving back home on the... More

This place is on top of a mountain, so you get great mountain views. The property is somewhat rundown, and decorated really country and a little weird. The rooms were surprisingly spotless, but the problem is that you can hear everything. It was supposed to be a romantic trip that wasn't romantic at all (if you know what I mean)... More

We made this reservation while we were driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. I cannot believe the reviews that say this is a recommended place to stay for couples. Maybe if you are with a group of party-ers. There are coolers FULL of diverse beer upon your entering the "lobby" area. I cannot speak for much of the hotel (dining areas,... More

Leaflover is angry because we required her to pay a cancellation fee that was part of the contractual agreement. Too bad. This covers our expenses for accepting the reservation through our internet partners and she was informed about it when making the reservation. Don't enter a contract you don't intend to honor. Her criticisms are ridiculous. We keep an unlocked open... More
