Frankly I chose the Chalambar Motel based on price while travelling around the Grampians region. It ticked all the right boxes - clean, comfortable, safe, and generally had the appearance of being well looked after. Stayed one night before visiting the Grampians. The rooms were refurbished, clean and comfortable but small and the owners were very helpful and friendly. On the northern outskirts of Ararat , set back from the Western Highway.

Ive stayed hear 2 times so fair and will be comeing back. The roomes are clean and comfy and well priced compared to othere places and parking is easy. I didnt hear the train or too much road noise wich made for a good nights sleep.

I had a lovely stay at Chalambar Motel, their service was prompt and the room was very clean, and everything you need. I highly reccommend to stay their and I certainly will stay again in the future.

We stayed here with the family recently. The staff/owners of the motel were great, friendly people who made us feel welcome. the rooms were tidy and clean. Only slight annoyance was the noise from the trucks but that is hardy the fault of the motel. Overall an excellent stay.

My Partner and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend stay, the room was clean and cosy but was still comfortable for a short stay, the service was great and the location was convenient. I would definetely consider staying here again when in the area.
