Stayed here with the Mrs whilst ravelling around the barossa. Was a very last minute thing, and staff incredibly helpful. Comfortable warm beds, adequate food. Good location

I stayed in a private with my Girlfriend and the room had it's own small heater, which we didn't really even need because the blankets were nice and warm. Was a bit annoying that check-in was only 9-12 and 5-9 we arrived around 3pm. Overall a good nights sleep though. We didn't really use any kitchen facilities at all.
I travelled heard in 3rd May for 2 days with my wife and 1 year old daughter and found the place very relaxed and child freindly. The staff were freindly and very helpful recommending wineries and resturants. Toliet facilties are shared but female toilets were big enough to change nappies. Value for money and worth every cent
This place is quiet and clean and is next to a huge old winery with excellent Shiraz wines. Actually the whole of the Barossa has fantastic reds :). The accommodation itself was value for money nothing fancy with just simple rooms and cleam accommodation no taps in room though. Was very close to supermarket and pubs which for me was...

This is the 2nd time iv stayed at backpackers since it opened last year. The hostel and facilities are new and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is situated in the grounds of the Chateau Tanunda which has the best celler door in the barossa by far. Awesome spot can't wait to go back, would defiantly recommend...

Was told by a freind to come and stay here and they were not wrong about this place. In the middle of the vineyards a short walk to main street and wineiries! We had a blast. Rooms were real cheap compared to other B&B,s but you had to share the bathroom facilites which is the only bad thing about this...

100% coming back. The rooms are clean the hostel is brand new the service was very helpful. Hire a bike if you get the chance saw some of the best wineries in Australia. Barossa Valley is great and is about time someone put a hostel in this region. New Cooking pans would hurt. Great work guys
Stayed at the Barossa Backpackers for just under 2 months after coming after being lured in with an advertisement on his website "15-20 needed for grape picking late Jan/Feb", they may claim to not be in the business of "work placement" but that is as blatent as it gets, plus he always said he just puts you in contact with...

What seems as a nice place to stay, clean, new building and verry welcoming management turns out to be a big disaster in a view weeks.
I arrived in the verry beginning somewhere end of january, because the manager/ owner told me that the work / picking season was going to start and the hostel really full was.
me and...

Dear Sebastian,
Thank you for your email review.
I am glad you enjoyed the new facilities the Backpackers had to offer you.
As for work we explained to you that Vintage was delayed for 2 weeks due to weather conditions I am sorry that you feel that we are accountable for that.
When you say the manager was no where...

I stayed a couple of nights in March to experience more of the Barossa Valley than a day trip can offer, and it was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful especially with local information and wonderful stories I really enjoyed talking with Sam and Derry. I loved the freedom of hiring the bikes and really experiencing all the beautiful...
