Gee we have stayed in a lot of bed and breakfasts in aus in the past year, some are real bargains! This one is not so much a bargain but very well provisioned and good value for money. We liked the quality fresh linen and towels, a good spa and wood fire, the complimentary wine and chocolates. The town is... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Greenock's Old Telegraph Station B&B. I have just taken over ownership and appreciate your positive comments. I agree that Murray Street Vineyards Winery is worth a visit. They also do food platters if you want to spend a few hours just sitting in the sun. Regards, Sue. More

We loved the location and set-up/amenities of the cottage. Overall, we were satisifed with our 2-night stay - especially considering the reasonable price-point, the availability of a clothes washer, and the fact we were staying at a hotel or other hosted accommodation for the remainder of our 2 week visit to Australia. It was nice to have some space of... More

We stayed here over Christmas and had a great time. The cottage is cute and cosy and the air conditioning worked really well (which was great as it was quite warm when we were there!). We really appreciated the Christmas tree that the owners put up for us! A great place to stay!

This was the biggest splurge of our trip and we were pleased to find that it was well worth the money. The house itself is wonderfully cozy and its historic nature added to the fun. The sitting room (with fireplace) is really comfortable, as are the bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need, including a great spread in the fridge... More

Greenock's is our second B&B in the Barossa and it really feels historic but comfortable at the same time (the first was Blickinstal in 2003 with the legendary breakfast from Judy, then owner). Doug, the owner, has thoughtfully and generously kitted out the lovely cottage such that you will feel very well-provisioned and comfortable indeed. Email exchanges with Doug during... More

Hi Guys, thanks for the review much appreciated!! Garbage collection is Tues mornings & generally its mid to late in the morning, we will look at locating bins further away from cottage. This was my second stay at the Old Telegraph Station and I must say it was just as good, if not better, than the first time. We needed to check in early as we had to drop the doggies off before venturing over to our lunch booking. Doug was more than accommodating. Although he was still there finishing off the... More

What a lovely surprise this place was. We went to the Barossa Valley and wanted something more intitmate than a hotel chain. I decided on this place as it was in a lovely little town and it was very old as it used to be an old post office in the 1800's. We were not dissapointed. Once you book you... More

It is great to find a "pet friendly" B&B that really is pet friendly. My wife and I recently stayed here with our travelling companion (Sheltie Puppy) and had a great time, with a fully fenced rear yard and with our dog being allowed inside with the only proviso being not allowed on the furniture. The property is warm and... More

Firstly, the booking process was very smooth, with excellent directions, information, tips and maps provided. The location is really great, just outside the touristy part of the Barossa, but still accessible. Greenock has that small town country feel but is only five minutes drive to restaurants and a big shopping centre. Along with that, on the weekend the Greenock pub... More

This is a great place to stay, there were three of us and there was plenty of room with one queen and one double bed. The provisions for breakfast were very generous and everything we needed was there, even a cappuchino machine. We stayed on other lodgings that were more expensive and didn't provide as much. Beds were very comfortable,... More
