Marcia was a great host, very generous with her hositality. She pretty much organised my honeymoon for me! The guest rooms were luxurious whilst keeping with it's historical roots.

My husband booked us to stay at Collingrove as a surprise first anniversary trip. I was very impressed in general with the gorgeous historic homestead, the hosts Marcie, Andrew, along with chef Zac were all lovely, helpful and informative. We stayed in the School House room in a oh so comfortable french provincial bed, the only thing amiss is as...

My Husband and I recently stayed at Historic Collingrove Homestead in Angaston to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We were very fortunate to be able to experience our stay in two rooms, The School House and the Workshop, both rooms were beautiful and elegantly furnished, the beds very luxurious. The fully cooked breakfast using local produce served on the front...

We have an excellent weekend stay at Collingrove Homestead. The rooms were beautifully updated from our previous stay 18yrs ago. Zac cooked a fantastic degustation dinner for the 6 of use, and the service was really warm & friendly. We had tea & coffee in the guest lounge, and with the fire going was really comfortable. You have to remember...

We have stayed on a couple of occasions now, once for our wedding anniversary, and once with another two couples. We loved every minute of our stay; from the gorgeous quaint rooms (the beds are really really comfortable) We had the degustation menu both times and the food was absolutely sensational. Zac is a very talented chef. The breakfast in...

We stayed for 2 nights in room 5 (the old workshop). This is a great room, big with a generous bathroom (good shower) and a walk in robe. Bed was very comfortable. In room tea and coffee facilities would have been welcome. There is plenty of history associated with this place and it's nice to spend time with the ghosts...

We stayed in the maids quarters rooms with another couple, sharing a bathroom. Very authentic, perhaps we were supposed to device our own rooms - the staff certainly didn't. The room had a musty damp smell and was quite small.
The couple at the next tableware asked if they wanted their room serviced but we weren't given the same courtesy....

My partner and I had a wonderful night here last weekend. We adore the house, so full of character and history. But the highlight of our stay were our lovely hosts. Marci, Emma and Zac were all so welcoming and made us feel completely at home. Breakfast on the sunny veranda was a special touch and our chat to lovely...

Here you are staying in the historic home of the Angas family (now owned by the National Trust), and you really do experience a very traditional atmosphere. Very interesting to wander the various rooms, which are also open to public in restricted hours.
A big room (shower not working very well at the time of our visit) in the old...

Firstly I rarely write reviews but I felt our stay at the Collingrove Homestead really warranted some positive feedback.
While touring the Barossa in December 2011 my wife and I used the homestead in Angaston as our base. Put simply it was truly a memorable experience.
Our hosts for the weekend, Zac and Emma, were most accommodating. Their combined knowledge...
