We have been coming to Rainbow Waters for many years and have always had a wonderful time. The New Managers have given the park a new lease of life, the amenities are spotless and the park is spotless. The powered sites by The Great Sandy Straight will treat you to spectacular sunsets and wonderful walks on the sand flats at... More

We stayed in this fantastic holiday park last week on our way through to Fraser island, we were greeted by very friendly owners who were only too happy to help us get settled in... We camped on a powered site and were allowed a fire as well... The toilets and showers are aged but always clean. I think the new... More

Stayed here the night before hitting fraser island, looking forward to one last decent shower and a good nights sleep but no such luck! Advertised as a two room cabin, actually one small room divided into three, double bed turned out to be a couch slash foam bed contraption, bunks were covered in sand. The 'en suite' shower was so... we stayed on a powered site which was close to amenities. games room is very outdated and there is basic play equipment for the kids. Great spot only 5 mins from the beach and right beside the boat ramp. We stayed in january 2013 and had no problems with management at all, they were quite nice. My only negative which... More

This is a caravan park in a pleasant location, with plenty of space. The facilities are OK, if a little dated. We decided to book an unpowered camp site, and I guess $32 per night to pitch a tent is a standard price these days in Australia. However the one major problem here are the insects. We have a good... Dallas and Sue were super friendly and very helpful. They had only taken over management 2 weeks prior to our visit and had already made big improvements. Plenty of unpowered sites to choose from with lovely water views. The bathroom facilities were spotless and the camp kitchens were well maintained and clean. Even the permanent visitors were friendly! I would... More

We had initially planned 2 nights stay at Rainbow, but the weather had other ideas for us! Over the course of a wet and windy week, due to 'ex-tropical cyclone' Oswald, the new management team were very helpful, friendly, full of concern for us and went over and above to ensure our stay was safe and happy. The facilities were... More

After being trapped in Rainbow during and after the January 2013 floods, our group headed to this park for shelter and hot showers, we were very pleased with accommodation prices and staff especially the new Management team, they were friendly, understanding and so helpful in our time of need, even with eftpos systems down and no way to access money... The managers need to go back to school and learn the wright way to speak to people, or they will not have a park to run. The park had about 500 to 600 people in it over the New Year and a week later the managers closed of half the toilets when the park still had about 300 people in... More

Bearing in mind that people want/expect different things. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay unpowered tent. There was a small walk to the showers but there were no queues and the water was hot. Been on other sites over the Christmas school holidays and had to practically make an appointment to get a shower!! There was plenty of space... More
