We arrived late and were really tired after a long drive which did not help the experience but...the dorm we were in was really really basic. There was no a/c, only one fan in the corner. The bathroom door was just a big piece of wood you had to carefully slide across. There was no fridge in the room, or... More

Hi MissJones21 Thank you for your review. Our dorm rooms range from 6 - 10 beds and majority have en-suite bathrooms, some have kitchenette units and balconies if you stay on the second or third floor. We do not provide fridges in our dorm rooms but we do have 2 large communal fridges in our kitchen which is accessible 24... More

We had originally planned to stay at this hostel for two nights (before and after our trip to Fraser Island) but cancelled the second night since we just couldn't stand the thought of spending another night in a room like the one we got for our first night. We arrived rather late and went to the bar to get our... More

G'day Schiepchen Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate your honesty as reviews are the main means of us being able to constantly improve our facilities and services. It sounds like you were staying in one of our 2 family rooms which does have a double/multi bed plus a set of bunks. I can... More

We arrived a few days ago. Dorm rooms are average, at best, the beds are made of plastic and lizards are a extra guest. Double rooms are even worst, poo droppings on beds, and smell as bad as you can imagine. Do NOT stay here unless you can help it, Dingo's (next door) is far better - GO THERE :)... More

Hi Daniel P I am little concerned as to this review as I do not think this is a genuine review. We believe this to be a review left by a guest of a competitor hostel who never actually stayed with us. Having said that, I will respond to your review. You state that the dorms are bad and the... More

I stayed here as part of a Fraser island trip and I have been meaning to write an excellent review ever since. The hostel is ran by a fun, kind and helpful couple who go over and above your expectations to ensure your stay is great. We were initially booked into a dorm room but it was over booked so... More

We recently stayed here 2 x 2 couples for one night before going over to Fraser. We wanted 2 double en suite rooms, what we got was 2 double beds with a single bunk bed on top, so actually a triple, wasn't really what we expected. We were in the 'newly renovated' rooms, but neither rooms window shutters or bathroom... More

G'day JPea8 Thank you for leaving a review about our hostel. We are sorry to hear that your room was not what you expected. Most of our private rooms have now been refurbished and we are currently in the process of buying double beds to replace our triples. We do have a lot of families stay with us and this... More

Unfortunately I don't have many positive things to say about this place. The night we arrived we got stuck into an 8 bed dorm literally on the other side of the bar and their crappy music was really noisy. Of course, if you do like sleeping practically not before going on your big Fraser Island trip (wake up at 6am)... More

Stayed for three nights in total as part of a 4x4 package tour of Fraser Island. The first two nights were spent in a nine bed mixed dorm which was pretty bad!! The bed was dirty and uncomfortable, the room was full of ants and the bathroom door didn't have a lock. When we returned from the tour we were... More

G'day Lauren Thank you for taking the time out to leave us a review. Hi Markus Thank you for your very kind words and it was great to have you stay with us for so long. Pro: pool table, darts, live music, nice staff, free activities (eg. soccer and walk to sand dune). Great staff. Good food. Con: noisy neighbours, dirty kitchen.

Do not stay here, it has to be the worst hostel by far I've been to in Australia. I was booked in for only one night as part of the oz experience (my advise is get the greyhound to Hervey Bay, rather than stop in Rainbow Beach). Unfortunately due to flooding in the area I had to stay an extra... More
