We`d been staying with some friends on the previous 2 nights in Brisbane and Noosa, working our way up the coast to another friend in Yeppoon, and had looked at places to stay in 1770. But limited internet access in Noosa prevented us from checking out availability. So we just chanced it. But we hadn`t prepared for its popular and... More

Family owned oasis of peace. The owners built everything with the help of backpackers and it is very well maintained. Sweet camping resort feeling with cabins spread out over the whole place. Horses behind a fence, free fast Wifi and clean amenities. Currently staying here and already sad I have to leave in 2 days. Plenty of backpacker staff working... More

I absolutely loved this hostel. The owner is such a kind person and gave us the warmest welcome I have ever recieved at a hostel. As previously stated this hostel is like a resort. It's such a nice place to relax and chill out for a few days. The owner kindly supplies a free breakfast which consists of fresh bread... More

Southern Cross really was a retreat for me and probably a life saver in a sense. I needed to take the time to relax and unwind and I found it there. The owner is an amazing man who really cares about everyone there and the staff is beyond wonderful. They truly take the time to get to know you and... More

We had a lot of rain when we visited Agnes Water, luckily we stayed at Southern Cross. In a private double room, including DVD player! What a perfect place! Bali vibe. Clean room with white sheets. Clean kitchen. Unfortunately only instant meals available, but we prepared are own pasta! Nice lounge area with a pool and ping pong table. A... More

I am so lucky to have found this hostel. I had not booked anywhere to stay and when I got off the greyhound bus I headed towards the girls with the hoola hoops. They told me it was the most beautiful hostel and without a doubt it truely is, I have never seen a hostel like it. It really is... More

Southern cross backpackers is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Everything about the place is beautiful, 'hostel" doesn't do it justice, it's more of a tourist retreat, a place to really relax & reflect but also a great place to socialise and party, friday night themed parties are held each week, with themes such as "Anything but... This place is very well maintained. The perfect getaway in a very secluded town (with a nice, clean beach). The owners are very friendly, the site is peaceful and the rooms are clean. You can even make a campfire at night. Perfect place to kick back and relax!!
