Although Marriott has upped their pet surcharge, the Rocky Mount Residence Inn is a good place to stop with pets on a long trip south. The rooms are standard Marriott Residence Inn but the staff are very nice. More

The suite was hadicap access which we didn't ask for and was on the first floor. It was noisy since there were children upstairs. The suite could have been cleaner and looked old.
