The room was fine. But the sell was a bit misleading. I paid extra for a harbor front room, expecting great views and to be right on the harbor. Turns out that means at the harbor end of the building. The harbor Is across the road, the view just between the motel office and the building next door. It was... More

Not many hotel options on Ocracoke island and chose this one because of Tripadvisor reviews. A good choice too. Good location in the village, you can walk to several restaurants & lighthouse. Exterior entrance to rooms. Room was a very basic standard white walled room, nothing fancy, but it was clean and had comfortable bed. Only complaint was heavy cleaner... More

We stayed at the Harbor Inn on our way through the Outer Banks. When my husband made the reservations he mentioned that this was a romantic getaway for us. The gal on the phone suggested that we might want to stay in the "special suite" located above the office instead of the main hotel. He jumped on the idea and... More

This was our first time staying at Harbor Inn on Ocracoke. From my first telephone reservation conversation through followup emails after checking out my experience was nothing but perfect. The staff were kind and accommodating, the suite could not have been more inviting for 4 people and the waterfront view was remarkable. Thank you so much- we will see you... More

Pretty clean except for some reddish stains on the bedspread..........yuck. Front desk was very helpful and cheerful. Good advice on the ferry. Breakfast was after 7AM and we had to make it out to the ferry by 6:30 ! No breakfast.

Stayed here 2 separate nights in April while ferry hopping the Outer Banks. Great location with nice view of the protected harbor. Off the main drag of traffic headed up island. Staff was pleasant, room was clean and tastefully decorated, and the private patio was terrific. Continental breakfast was standard. Location is within walking distance of the main part of... More

Just returned from a four-day girls' getaway on Ocracoke Island! Friends for over forty years who now live in four different cities on the east coast, we have been managing to spend a long weekend together once a year since 2007. We previously have vacationed in Kill Devil Hills or Norfolk, but decided to head to Ocracoke. At the advice... More

My sister, stepdaughter and I stayed her for a three night girls getaway and it was perfect. We stayed in a suite with a bedroom with a king bed and sofa bed in the living area. All three rooms were spacious. In addition, we had a private balcony the length of our suite which had four chairs and two tables... More

Okay.. the staff was incredibly nice at first. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk informed us that continental breakfast was from 7:30-9:45!!! A little to early if you ask me, and definitely not long enough. Oh well.. nothing we couldn't handle. We requested a suite. She told us it was $145 a night. We go up to our... More

My wife and I stayed here in October for our anniversary. The room we had was nice, 2nd floor harbor side, I would highly recommend these rooms as the view is very nice. There was a younger woman working the counter in the morning that did seem a little less than cheerful, but she wasn't rude so no big deal.... More
