I go to Ocracoke Island annually. My first trip down was for a memorial event. We stayed at Blackbeard's Lodge for our trip that weekend. Wonderful. Chip and his staff are great. The rooms are clean, the surroundings are peaceful, and the building has a wonderful antique feel to it. I always look forward to my stays here.

the place might not look like much but it was very cozy and the people were very nice. rent the bikes and go around the island. beware of the horse flies they are nasty and they sting like hell.

I liked the relaxed vibe of this hotel. It appears to be one of the older hotels on the island, and has some fun historical photos along the walls in the hallways.
