After spending a full week at Ocracoke (heavenly), we couldn't face returning home - so decided to add one more night, and spent it at this wonderful B&B. From the friendly greetings of Pam and Mike to the beautifully appointed room, comfy deck, complimentary bicycles - and best of all - the superb (and filling!) breakfast, this was an outstanding... I've stayed in many B&Bs, and this one was one in which I really felt at home. Pam and Mike were helpful and unobtrusive hosts -- they live in the top floor, but we rarely saw them except at breakfast. The rooms were well-equipped with beach chairs, coolers (plenty of ice downstairs), designer toiletries, cable tv, coffeepot, microwave, refrigerator and... More

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed Pam's and Mike's hospitality. The home-cooked breakfast was exceptionally good, something different every morning and lots of fresh fruit in addition. Our room with a queen and a twin bed was very clean and nicely decorated; it was just the right size for our family of three. We also loved the free... More

My wife and I have been visiting Ocracoke for over 25 years. We have stayed in B&B's, hotels, rental apartments and the National campground. We have not had any terrible experiences because we easily get into the vibe of the island and thoroughly relax. We spent a few days with Pam and Mike (and Oscar) in July 2011. It wasn't... More

We just left Pam's Pelican and miss it already. Pam made my fiace and I the best sweet potato waffles of all time. We plan to get married on Ocracoke in May and we came to research where our guests could stay, after stopping by each hotel the answer is clear that Pam's Pelican is by far the most bang... More

I decided to take a trip with my boyfriend before the new school year started, and since I had never been to the Outer Banks before, we decided to come to Ocracoke. I found this bed and breakfast using TripAdvisor, and I must say I definitely was not disappointed. It was a quaint beautifully landscaped house off of the main... More

My husband and I chose Pam's Pelican Bed & Breakfast because of its quaint charm, inviting nature and location (away from all the noisy hotels and restaurants). Our room was very clean, had a comfortable bed and a porch overlooking the trumpet vines and the gazebo. One flight up, and you can enjoy the view from rooftop and look a... More

We stayed there at the same time as the reviewer below and we loved the experience. Pam and Mike are fun, warm hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with them and the other guests. We stayed in the Zen room which shared a balcony overlooking the front garden, and for us it was perfect, comfortable, and a relaxed atmosphere.... More

We had a great time at the Pelican. Thanks Pam and Mike for the wonderful getaway. The kind hospitality, breakfast, amenities and watching the sunset from the roof made for a great time. Free use of beach gear, coolers, and bikes was much appreciated. The location is great. It was nice to park the car and forget about it until... More

This was the first time that we had ever stayed at a B&B and we enjoyed it. Pam & Mike were very friendly and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Loved the beach like decor, nothing fancy or stuffy here. Only 4 rooms but we loved the size. It was clean, quiet and very relaxing. Pam & Mike did... More
