We have stayed here on two different visits to Ocracoke and really have enjoyed it . It is a clean, cozy motel with a wonderful front porch overlooking the harbor. The owners are very friendly and helpful and I would stay there anytime I visit. You can walk to all the attractions in the village or rent a bicycle to... More

We just returned from our third trip to Ocracoke, and it was definitely our best visit. From the beginning, when we booked the three day visit at Harborside, Gail, in the front office, was so friendly and helpful. I had to call her several times with questions and not once did she make me feel like a pest. When we... More

The only redeeming quality of the "cottage" rooms 17-18 is the private porch. You don't even get a good look of the harbor because the owners have used a vacant lot next door to house they'rslept e little treat stand. Which, in my opinion, has the best raspberry white chocolate scone I have ever had. The room is very small,... More

We came here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. This was the perfect place! We loved the cottage front porch and the deck on the harbor. The staff were attentive, helpful, and very friendly. They helped make our visit delightful and yes, we will be back. Cindy and John Balaam Columbia, SC More

My husband and I and our friends, rented the two front units. They were decorated so cute and were very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch, watching all of the boats, birds and people. We only wish we could have stayed another night. Their gift shop has so many cute and interesting items. Thank you for abeautiful experience.... More

Without our knowledge or consent, all of our belongings were removed from our room and left on the second story shared walkway/balcony prior to check-out time! My elderly Dad and his wife accompanied my husband and me to Okracoke Island on the way back to Atlanta from a vacation to Outer Banks. We were able to get 2 rooms at... More

We Have been going to Ocracoke for many years. We have stayed at other hotels but once we stayed at the Harborside, we haven't stayed anywhere else. We always stay on the 2nd floor, in the end room (away from the street). Our room has always been clean and comfortable. We get great wireless service in our room. The continental... More

When I entered my room at 11:30 pm for my 3-night stay there were 4 live bugs in the room...a stink bug, a fly, a moth and some other flying carpenter ant type of bug. I managed to kill 3 of them in the next two hours but I never could get the fly. It was 4 a.m. before I... More

Harborside Motel is definitely not a five-star hotel, and also not on the harbor (lake.) We stayed for two nights after checking out of our rented cottage. It was a great location. The room was clean, but needs to be updated. Everything except the TV was old looking. There was no clock in the room. The a/c worked well. The... More

We book a last minute trip to Ocracoke with four teenage kids for three rooms. All the rooms where clean and the beds were soft but not firm. My wife and I got room 9 which was at the end of the building overlooking the road and the harbor. Contrary to the name, the Harborside is not on the harbor... More
