This motel is okay if you just want to spend the day at the beach and sight-see. The price is one of the lowest in the area. We were coming to see my daughter who was working in Manteo for the summer and we wanted something close to the ocean that wasn't too expensive. The Tar Heel Motel was reasonably priced and in a great location. The rooms were clean and so was the pool area. more
