Stayed here for 1 night during a 2 week drive down the parkway. I had stayed in some very good hotels etc along the way, however, the stay here was the highlight in terms of accommodation. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, the room was rustic and comfortable and the views were marvellous. The food was exceptional and great... More

The Skyline Village Inn is rustic but not in a good way. We had a great view but that's about the only good thing I say. Our room was a tiny box with wood paneling. It would be charming if it were not for the cobwebs and musty smell. There was a ceiling fan that I had to run on... More

The view is fantastic, the accomodations are rustic, the owner a great story teller and genuinely nice man. We heard about this place on a motorcycle charity ride. As the mountains are one of our favorite destinations, especially in the fall, this stay was a no brainer...Mike was a perfect host...concerned for our needs and helpful in planning our days... More

We love Skyline Inn for its location with beautiful scenic view, interior wood finish, food, variety of beer collection, and most important - friendly feeling like home. We came to Little Switzerland NC during Labor Day weekend but our car was overheated with a broken radiator just half a mile from Skyline. While the host Mike Thrift was calling around... More

I booked this at the last minute during a trip to NC and a 1 day drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway. I booked here based upon TA reviews. When I first drove up, I thought I might have made a mistake as it looked somewhat sketchy at first glance. However, my concerns were alleviated after being checked-in by the... More

We came here for a quiet night in the mountains. The view from the balcony was pretty and the look of the inn fits into the mountain setting. When we asked about the cave, we were told there wasn't scheduled access but someone could show us if we asked. We didn't pursue it. The room was clean enough, but the... More

For travelers that typically stay at the "safe choice" hotel, you are missing out on the family feel of this hotel. It is not right off the interstate, but it is right beside the parkway (like 100 yards away). Short drive from Linville Caverns/Falls/Gorge. Walk into your room and be greeted with the lodge-like quaintness and smell of the wood... More

The Inn is just what we were hoping for, a quiet spot, beautiful views, downhome atmosphere , freindly caring owners of the Inn helping wherever needed. Motorcycle riding in the Mountains has always been relaxing, and so enjoyable. The Inn at Skyline Villlage was just the ticket,,, away from the norm , of the rat race world. My wife and... More

Based on the reviews and photographs of this establishment online, we knew that it would be adequate for a one-night stay following a day of hiking on Grandfather Mountain. We wanted not much more than just a place to enjoy a simple meal and rest our feet and not immediately face a two-and-a-half hour drive back home. What we found... More

My son and I stayed here on a short Summer trip to his college in a nearby town. I believe strongly in supporting businesses that are family owned and operated. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had been recently remodeled, as was its en-suite bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Cable and free wireless... More
