Probably the nicest mountain resort anywhere. Our unit was delightful with loads of space, two balconies overlooking the pristine golf course and gorgeous mountains, and in pleasant walking distance to the lake and so much more. Winding mountain roads full of natural beauty, friendly deer that joined us on nightly walks, great restaurants, super golf, and all of it reasonably... more

My wife and I spent 5 nights at the Fairfield Mountain Resort in late September and had a great time. Our 1BR Deluxe unit in the Maple Ridge Section was roomy, clean, comfortable and quiet. It was similar to the 1 BR Deluxe unit that we had at the Wyndham Sedona earlier this summer - approximately 950 sq. ft., fully... more

We stayed at the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains for our summer vacation 2009. We loved our stand alone cabin that we got all to ourselves. We had a party of six, four adults and two children (6 and 10) and stayed in a two bedroom, two bath with a loft so we were very comfortable. Our Cabin also had... more

We are Wyndham VIP owners and have been to many Wyndham properties around the country. We came to Fairfield Mountains for a couple of days of relaxing while visiting my mother, which is only about three hours from this resort. The drive slows considerably once you get within 30 miles of the resort, but it's a great time to enjoy... more

I will be as detailed as possible, I read reviews on trip advisor all the time before booking a vacation and appreciate detail info. I booked a room using my Wyndham points for a” Girls Weekend" 3-ladies for 3nights 4days and we had a really nice time. We stayed at Fairfield Mountains in there "Maple Ridge" complex in a 1-Bedroom... more

There was so much to do and so little time. One week is not enough if you want to golf, fish, hike, kayak, swim, workout, eat, sitesee in nearby Asheville and Hendersonville, and just enjoy the beauty of the mountains and lake. We are planning on returning for 2 weeks next year. more

I spent my honeymoon in one of the townhouses on Maple Lane. The bad: I thought the website was terrible -- my MIL booked the trip for me but I had no idea where I was staying until check in. I sent THREE emails to the email address on the website with lots of details ,asking where I was staying,... more

We stayed at the resort condos. Experienced was great. They categorize the condos as "A" or "B" depending on the condition. Recommend asking for an "A" unit. Cost is the same. It was very clean and well furnished. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The on site restaurants were a good value along with the quality. Excellent golf, tennis,... more

My family of four traveled to Lake Lure at Labor Day for a long weekend with my parents, my brother and his wife, and my grandparents. My mother took care of the entire arrangements because she and my dad had stayed there before. I had been on the Fairfield Mountains' website and was not too excited about what I had... more

Very excellent experience with plenty to do. Arrived late Friday and checked out early Friday morning. Stayed in one of the Mountain Lofts overlooking the golf course. The property is very well kept. Very quiet area made for a very relaxing week. The unit was very clean and had a nice cedar smell. Furniture was pretty new and comfortable and... more
