We stayed at Darlings by the Sea, October 10-12, 2011! We were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and my husband surprised me with this getaway. He ordered the romantic package with petals on the bed, a dozen red roses, chocolates and champagne upon arrival. EVERYTHING about our room and time we spent there was perfect!! Just what we needed!!... More

The woman who runs this very cute B&B clearly should be in another line of work. She doesn't seem to like the fact that people actually stay there. Every simple question is a huge burden to her, and she is continuously rude for no reason. We are very guests and don't make demands whatsoever. When we told her one of... More

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Darlings By The Sea. The view of the ocean from the balcony was spectacular. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast and snacks were delicious and included homemade quiche. The location right on the uncrowded Kure Beach was fabulous. Good restaurants were within walking distance and others within a very... More

We have just returned from a relaxing week at Kure Beach. My husband and I wanted a relaxing week to unwind and chill out. Darlings by the sea was an ideal place for us. Our suite was comfortable with a small kitchen area and a lovely bathroom complete with whirlpool bath. There is a gym on the ground floor which... More

We happened upon it by chance, and we're so glad we decided to stay, and then extend for one more night. Peaceful, clean, lifeguarded beach just a few steps away. Wonderful breakfast basket, including homemade quiche one morning; comfortable balcony to enjoy it; bikes and beach chairs, and (for others) several exercise machines. We dined in, with delicious take-out from... More

My wife and I were scheduled to attend a wedding in Naples,Fl. and decided to make a road trip out of it. Our rule for the road is no more than 6 hrs. driving, before we call it a day. So, all my stops were between 5 and 6hrs. apart from one another. One of the stops was Kure Beach... More

This is by far THE BEST stay my husband and I have ever had ANYWHERE .... even though the weather was not cooperating, our stay was incredible. Jim and Dee did such an outstanding job of making us comfortable . The breakfast baskets that they provided were all we needed for snacks ..... we just got home today and are... More

The good: The owners remodeled a standard size hotel room and gave it class and pizzaz with lots of mirrors, the huge jacuzzzi tub, leather sofa and home entertainment center. Everything worked fthough the jets in the hot tub were not real strong,,it did fill quickly. The oversized balcony offers plenty of room to stretch. The view of the ocean... More

My husband and I just spent a long weekend celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary on the 28th of August,2010 at Darlings by the Sea. It was perfect. The lovely breakfast basket, brought each evening to enjoy the next morning, was loaded with goodies, and the room was very nicely decorated and very very clean. Beautiful view of the ocean from... The advertising for DBTS may mislead you a little by calling itself a B&B. The breakfast is a continental breakfast that they deliver to your room nightly, which is published in their brochure. It consisted of cut fresh fruit, one pastry (English muffin or blueberry muffin), one biscotti, jams, jellies, cream cheese butter, and assorted coffee items for you to... More
