As other reviewers have noted, the peacocks are loud and apparently nocturnal. I was woken up multiple times but their squaking and got a terrible night's sleep. Do you enjoy sleeping? If the answer is yes, then stay very far away from the Adventure Bound Campground. They have 3 roaming and 1 caged peacocks, which on first arrival seemed quaint. Went to OBX for surfing and beach driving in the 4wd. Was pretty much winging the trip, called some campgrounds from the beach.
