For $53 including tax, this was a steal. The motel was clean and our room was immaculate. They are redoing lots of rooms, especially the first-floor pet-friendly rooms, but the upper floors seem in good shape. We liked the pull-out clothesline in the bath, and the slightly-above-normal breakfast. Pleasant, helpful desk people.

We are always looking for pet friendly hotels - because we take our furry children most everywhere we go. We were so pleased to find that the Travelodge on the Outer Banks welcomed our dogs- dog biscuits in the lobby even! Just finished a most enjoyable stay at the Travelodge in Kill Devil Hills. I found clean accomodations, very friendly people and really excellent beds. Not often can you say you slept great at a hotel...but they have wonderful beds here. I have stayed at alot of OBX hotels but this one will be the one and only going forward.

Excellent - forget the haters. This is a beach town and the rooms are actually used, so you are not looking at a 5 star resort in any case. If you are from the Jersey Shore and need bling just go back home.
