This hotel was very disappointing. The rooms were not clean and the non smoking rooms still smelled of smoke. There were cigarette burns on the comforter and sheets, the towels had a yellow-tinge and before we could even stay in the room, I had to purchase an air freshner plug-in. Please do yourself a favor and bypass this hotel.

While the room was decent and didn't have any funky smells, decor was bland. Each year I come to Elizabeth City to bring my daughter back home or to school, Microtel is my first choice. I am very satisfied with the friendly greeting, service, and the location. The room rates are affordable and the hotel is located 2 miles away from Elizabeth City State University and my favorite resturants.
