My wife and I went to Chicago to shop the magnificent mile stores. The Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart is on the far edge of the 'Magnificent Mile area' (near loop area). The hotel needs renovated badly. The carpeting is old and stained. The staff are so-so. Parking costs about $30/night. You have to take two elevators to get to your room which is a pain. Overall, this hotel is only worth it if you get an amazing deal. This is by far the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in! more
