The hotel is just about finished renovating, and they've done a great job decorating. The wooded site is also very pretty and convenient to Chapel Hill. Husband and I stayed in this hotel while watching the Carolina Tarheels in the 2009 NCAA Basketball National Championship. Hotel shuttled us (for free) to Franklin street to watch the game...a definate plus, because there was NO PARKING ANYWHERE that evening. The Sheraton is getting a pretty big face lift. The lobby is shutdown and you have to check-in at the back of the hotel in a makeshift reception area.
