We have been staying at the Croatoan, once,the Falcon, for over 30 years. We have seen it go through many changes and improvements. They have weathered hurricanes and nor'easters and keep on going. This hotel was just what we needed for our last minute trip. We could not find any other rooms for under $250.00 a night. Clean room and bed with no frills. Staff were very helpful expecialy Molly. Mosquitoes were horrible outside after dark but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here due to the cost as I had thought it would be similar to the Cape Hatteras Motel owned by the same people which I stayed at in the spring. Way wrong. We found the Croatoan to be a friendly motel. It does not look attractive from the street. But it is more of a sixties type beach motel that is clean and quiet.
