We were a group of girlfriends who used the inn for our annual reunion. The larger rooms allowed us to stay together with plenty of space. The front porch rocking chairs were perfect for unwinding and reconnecting. The mountain surroundings were a bonus. I was most impressed, though, by the amount, quality, and variety of the two meals included daily... More

For many years, spring and fall days have drawn us to Fryemont Inn where we always enjoy a relaxing get away! It doesn't get any better than being in the lobby in front of the glow of the fireplace with a good book or enjoying delightful conversation with other guests. And for perfect relaxation, the view of the mountains from... More

We've traveled from Georgia to the Fryemont throughout the year for many years and still love it as much as we ever have. We have a daughter in law school in France who is married to a French man from the Champagne district. The one thing they miss about the US is the Fryemont. The owners and their staff are... More

Spent two nights at the Inn for our visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. Inn was 50 years old but very clean. Rooms were large. Large fireplaces and we needed the fires. Staff was friendly. Could not drink water from the sinks because of the old piping. Breakfast and dinner served. Food was plain but plentiful.

If an R&R getaway to the Great Smokey Mountains is what's desired, then Fryemonte Inn is the perfect place to choose! It's listed on the Register of Historic Places, built in 1923, and because of the listing, major architectural changes are against the rules. No AC, phones, TV in the simply furnished, spotlessly clean rooms in the Inn, and a... More

I just love this place as do several of our good friends. The first time we went we were there for our anniversary weekend. I was completely charmed by everything about it from the "oldness" to Punkin the cat who has to make sure that all rooms are ready for guests. The price includes dinner and breakfast. The food was... We have been going to Fryemont Inn for Many years. It is celebrating it's 90th anniversary this year. The lodge was built by a lumber baron and still has the rustic atmosphere. The rooms in the lodge are big with one or two queen or king size beds. Many have the big claw foot tubs in the baths. There is... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night last week. While this is a nice place to stay, you have to know this is an OLD establishment. Walking down the hallway you see that the lodge rooms are straight out of the 20's. They leave the doors open to unoccupied rooms so you can peek in. We opted for... More

Our family recently stayed in the cabin of Fryemont Inn and it was very nice and clean. It has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and plenty of space for a family with a kitchen and grill. The view is beautiful and if you have tickets for the train, it's only about a 5 minute ride to the station and downtown Bryson... More

We have made the Fryemont and its staff our 2nd home/family for the past 20 years..the place we look forward to visiting several days each season. From the moment you open the large wood door and enter the spacious lobby with its polished, well travelled wood floor and HUGH stone fireplace, and walk across to the "Registry" cubicle, you know...
