Alpen Acres is a VERY well kept old fashion drive up motor hotel. The grounds where manicured and the heated pool was lovely. The room was spacious and extremely clean. My friend recommended Alpen Acres and so my family and I decided to stay here for the weekend. The location is perfect, minutes away from attractions. This hotel is very near the Apalachian Skiing area although there was no snow when we were there in March. We found the motel very clean and comfortable. We arrived here for a whole weeks stay, reservations were made by phone very easily. Everyone was very nice, they offered complimentary breakfast in there office each morning. Not over crowded. My kids very part was the pool, very nice and heated, sits above the the motel with a great view. Summer 2012
