We were so so lucky to find this gem of a place in Blowing Rock....the gorgeous gardens just grabbed my attention as we were looking for a place for the night....this place is perfect!! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable...they have been updated with amazing attention to detail....I am a total sheet snob and I do not normally expect... More

At first glance you think you have gone back to the 50s but what a great surprise and experience. Our room was large, updated and very comfortable. The grounds with all the flowers and yard art were a joy to walk around in and photograph. The staff made you feel right at home and willing offered advise on the area.... More

My wife and traveled to Blowing rock in late October, 2012, with the intention of catching the autumn leaf foliage in its full glory. Unfortunately, we were a week or so late at the Blowing Rock altitude of 3540 feet. Nonetheless, the drive in through lower altitudes was very pretty, and when we arrived at the family owned and operated... More

I stayed at this little mom and pop hotel on a busy Saturday day during Fall colors season. It was cozy and clean. The owner is clearly a gardner with window boxes outside every room and lovely grounds. I was quite comfortable here...the bed was comfortable with a chair at each bed. The hotel was within walking distance to the... More

Joined another couple for a two day getaway in Blowing Rock. What a find! Reasonable rates, convenient location walking distance to downtown, comfortable and clean room with comfortable bedding. The grounds are exceptionally beautiful, with landscaping anyone would admire. We enjoyed the patio, nicely furnished, with coffee in the morning for guests. Our hosts were helpful and friendly. The property... More

Great location within easy walk to downtown. Spotless rooms, and the grounds are wonderful! Nice homey feel, locally owned. We usually stay at a large chain, but this was so much better. If you are looking for modern decor, this is not your place. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever had. Wonderful outdoor sitting areas. They... More

This is our favorite place to stay in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. It is family owned and operated right in the heart of downtown Blowing Rock. The family takes an interest in all their guests and treats everyone as their own family. We have stayed here for the last ten years. The rooms are so nicely decorated, immaculate and comfortable.... My partner and I had initially booked a highly rated, moderately priced hotel on a busy road too far from the historic area for our tastes. When the said hotel graciously allowed us to cancel, we drove to the beautiful village and found this charming property. We loved that we could walk a couple of blocks away and begin browsing... Beautiful gardens and homey feel. Went to look at room and they booked it while we were looking. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! We were only 4 doors down from office and they could have asked. The room was outdated but the grounds were beautiful. Will probably try again but with reservations.

Stayed at the Azalea Garden in mid week in May. Check in was simple, the room was large, comfortable and spotless and nicely decorated, the landscaping was beautiful and the morning coffee was fresh. Only $86 per night, great deal.
