Beaufort Inn is a quaint setting with picture perfect views on it's West Side. The draw bridge has a siren on it when passing sailboats go through. It was not a nuisance to sleeping, however. I would have enjoyed this inn more if I were traveling alone or only with my wife. But, there's nothing for small children to do.... more

Take those negative reviews with a grain of salt. The Inn's appearance is in keeping with the ambience of the town. Beaufort is a quaint, easily walkable, fishing village and the Inn fits right in--handy to everything, yet in a quiet area. Our room was on the 3rd floor, water side. We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Beaufort Inn recently on our way north from Savannah. We asked for the a non-water front room and the AAA rate which we were given. We were checked in by an "older" gentleman who may or may not have been the owner, and he couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.... more
