Other reviewers have already praised the location, the accommodation, and Chris and Paul as fabulous hosts, so it's hard to come up with anything new. But we endorse all the praise already heaped upon this B&B. The accommodation is modern, clean and comfortable, the breakfasts look and taste divine, the location is to die for. The arrangement of the buildings... More

We booked this as a romantic break away from Auckland and the Rugby world cup and could not of been happier with our victorian room.. The B&B is set in Paul and Chris's beautiful gardens next to the stream which leads down to the sea on Cook's beach ( you can use their kayaks and paddle down it to the... More

The home made Breakfast delivered to our room was amazing & much better than any cafe. We absolutely loved our stay at Mussel Bed & Breakfast. Chris our host made us feel right at home. The room was excellent with all the amenities. A great base for going to the scallop festival. Fenton (Whangarei) More

I only stayed here by myself for one night but Chris and Paul provided such a wonderful welcome and great place to stay that it was worth it. The breakfast was fantastic with both hot and continental dishes. Really well thought out and just the right amount of food. The gardens and rooms are just lovely and they would be... More

We stayed in the Pacifica Suite with the sound of a tiny waterfall just outside the door. The grounds are stunning, with welcoming hosts always on hand without being at all imposing. The room was small but so wonderfully put together with everything you could need. The shower room and bathroom / toilet was compact, modern and well designed. The... More

Stayed 2 nights in this lovely B&B but would loved to have stayed longer, although its a B&B you have your privacy and breakfast is brought to your room every morning and left on your private terrace, the hosts are warm, friendly and helpful, the tropical garden is beautiful, did not want to leave. We loved it here. We missed one day of our stay due to road closures but we should definitely have stayed longer as we loved it so much. We stayed in the Garden Cottage which was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. There were a lot of tourist info and suggestions for trips. Lots to do in the... More

My wife and I stayed in the Pacifica suite for two nights. It is a lovely sized room with all amenities and more, beautifully maintained. Breakfast on the deck outside the room or further down the lovely garden is just great. We borrowed their kayaks to paddle from the creek at the bottom of the garden out to the sea,... More
