For some reason this review keeps getting rejected (most likely the owners are reporitng it since it is not in their favor). I will start that the rooms are really nice and unique with Indian furnishing/fixings. I received a discount and at the moment of checking in I was given sub-standdard service. Every time I walked into the hotel lobby... More

Right in the middle of town up a narrow alley. It was alright but nothing special. Fine for an overnight stay if you have an earlier morning flight as we had but I would want to stay here for any more than one night. We left at 5am but the promised takeaway breakfast didn't materialise but at that time of... More

Only location was good. A/C was set for an hour. At night we need to start every hour, reset was impossible. No refrigerator in the room. We stayed four days, first day there were three sets of towels for three of us.Second day only two pairs. Third day only one medium size towel for three of us. Last day two... More

Stayed for 3 nights and loved it. Really comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. A bit worrying on arrival as the taxidriver motions the direction of the hotel, up a narrow passageway but it was fine. Breakfast on the roof top was good. Recommended.....

Be prepared, you cannot drive to this hotel. But once you are there you will find a wonderful staff to help you out. The location is within walking distance of most everything. They have a rooftop restaurant with really good food and a nice view. They had the most comfortable bed I can imagine! I loved Zanzibar and when I... More

We were sadly only here one night, but it was lovely. We had two adjacent rooms on the second floor, with tiny balconies and great sea views. The rooms were spacious and cool, tastefully decorated with huge comfortable beds and good showers. We found the service in the rooftop restaurant a bit hit and miss, we waited ages for a... More

We were visiting Stone Town during Ramadan and so many restaurants and bars were closed until after 6:30. We went to Mercury's and an elderly man asked us what we were looking for, we told him a place to do 'sundowners' and he lead us to Lu Lu's in this hotel. It was so much fun. He took us to... More
