Beautifully situated at the river, with plenty of wildlife passing vy. Bsndas spacious, with tasteful furniture and very well equipped incl plugs etc. Fine foos, helpful and friendly staff. When landing at the airstrip in Ruaha National Park we saw elephants, giraffes and zebras on our way down. It was the most breathtaking landing that we have ever experienced (on the positive side!). Spent 3 nights in late September 2011. Luxurious room, good food including decent vegetarian fare upon request. The late afternoon light on the Great Ruaha River from our porch was fabulous. The managers were solicitous and helpful. We had our own driver/guide/protector so did not experience RRL's safaris. Now understand why some Africans call the dry season the hunger time.... More

This is a fantastic beautiful lodge in the Ruaha National Park in southern Tanzania. Our room looked out over the river, and it was a magnificent view. Eating breakfast while looking out over the river to impala drinking and a baboon sitting in a tree, it couldn't be better. The accommodations were outstanding as was the service. More

Beautiful resort along a river always populated by animals. The resort is very large and the some bandas could be a little bit isolated and distant from the facilities. At night you're surrounded by animals, it is non uncommon finding an elephant just in front of your banda and waiting for quite a while before the access after dinner! Good... More
