Very old, very outdated. Dusty, damp room. This place could be a gem with some proper care.

Our stay was comfortable as the bed was good and the shower was fine but this is an old and shabby place with little charm. The decor of our room was laughable. No headboard, unattractive giant palm fronds stenciled on the walls, and an assortment of mismatched furniture including a TV from way back when. The breakfast was very nice...

I must say that I enjoyed my stay at the Village Latch immensely. It is a unique property, which might account for some of the varying opinions. I guess I would say that you just have to stay here to experience it for yourself. What we found was a very charming and attentive staff, lovely grounds with plenty of space...

Avoid this place unless you can not get into ANY other place and RELLY need to be in Southampton!! The place is gross, they will chage you 10% for "maid service and breakfast, which consist of old bread and lousy coffee. the sinks are the ancient ones with 2 faucets, the towels are fraid and the place is filthy....cant see...

The owners of this place obviously have no shame. Southampton lacks hotel accommodations and The Village Latch takes advantage of that fact. Once you are out here for the weekend it's too late to find another accommodation and you are held hostage into paying for two nights. Dont make a reservation to start with- go back home for the night!

My husband and I along with our 3 year old daughter stayed at the Village Latch inn late July 2011....We wanted to spend a nice quiet weekend in the Hamptons while we continue looking for our dream home out there.....Much to my dismay, we were escorted from the main house to our own "private Cabin"....When I asked the manager why...

I realize this place is a bed and breakfast and this was my first time staying in one. I normally stay in high end fancy hotels so my review is a little jaded. My company put me up here so I really didn't have a choice but this place is COUNTRY! White wicker furniture, tiny tv, bathtub from 1950. This...

Yes, it's expensive (you are in the Hamptons remember). Yes It's dated and could do with refurbishment (so do 80% of all other inns in the US).
And yes, I would stay here again anytime. The Village Latch Inn is utterly charming, the enormous grounds are romantic and private with something to offer for couples as well as families with...

After reading the numerous scathing reviews we were very skeptical. Instead we found the Village Latch to be a perfectly comfortable country-style B&B in a great location in Southampton. While the rate should have probably been closer to $250 it is understandable that the proprietors would charge $450 given the short season, the paucity of options in the area and...

We reserved on short notice with less than 3 weeks before we needed to be there. No wonder they had vacancies. WHAT A DUMP. The furnishings came from Goodwill. The bathroom sink had separate hot and cold faucets. When was the last time you saw that. We paid $595 plus 10 % service fee. There was no service. For that...
