This is a lovely old house that was beautifully fixed up. Owners very present and helpful. Rooms were cute with comfortable beds. Breakfast was notable for delicious baked goods - I'd stay there again!

Beautiful renovated house and very nice Innkeepers. Absolutely loved the front porch! Our room was sunny, clean and very fresh smelling. The bed was so comfortable you wanted to stay in it forever. We had a window air conditioner, but no TV. Unfortunately upon entering the house the first thing we noticed was a strong odor of dogs. You watch... More

This B&B is wonderful. The owners, Kelly and Bruce, could not be more charming. They are so welcoming that you hate to leave. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is comfortable and easygoing. What is not to love. Please note that Kelly and Bruce have only owned the B&B for a year or so. Any complaints prior to that... More

What a wonderful weekend we had at The New York House! Kelly and Bruce are lovely hosts. The house itself is sweet and quaint. I can happily contridict one one of the reviews...The place was SPOTLESS! Our room was comfortable, clean and cozy. We had a suite and our son slept on a pull out couch...It too was great! The... We visited during harvest fest and really enjoyed our stay. Bruce and Kelly are helpful (both in the house and with reccomendations) happy, accomidating and have really done lots with the place in just a year. Easy walkability to all of Sharon Springs, but back off of Main Street which gives you some privacy. The porch is wonderful to sit... More

Great visit. Wonderful breakfast. Had a barbecue on Sat. for the guests because of the crowds at Harvest Fest.Snacks and cold drinks always available. Made us feel at home. Greeted with lemonade and freshly baked chocolate cookies. Great sources for local history and activities. Loved their new dog Lily! Room was wonderful. Loved the mattress. We will be back!

The b&b was in terms of physicality amazing. The history of the house was very interesting, and the sheets were the most amazing I'd ever slept on.I actually bought some online after my visit. The daily rate was a bit cheaper than the American. While the baked goods were incredible for breakfast, I was a bit disappointed there wasn't more... More

This b and b has paper thin walls and conversations are clearly audible. We were awakened at 1 am and again at 6:30 am by other guests. The so called queen sized bed was a double bed with a foam mattress topper-not comfortable. The breakfast was inappropriate- no fresh fruit, no yoghurt, no oatmeal, no skim milk, but rather dry cereal... More

We stayed here one night in July because we like Sharon Springs and especially The Black Cat Bakery and Cafe down the street. We arrived to a friendly greeting, but it was all down-hill from there. The place was just plain dirty (including remnants of a prior occupant on our toilet seat) and musty. Stairwells looked like they hadn't been... More

My wife and I were on our way to New Hampshire to visit friends and stayed at the New York House on a tip from the American Hotel which was full. Good tip! We had the owners, Kelly and Bruce, to ourselves, as the other guests were all going to the opera at Glimmerglass. Hope we didn't bore them to... More
