We have been coming here for years and it keeps getting better. This campground is very well-maintained. The sites are spacious sites and separated by pines trees. This is a great camp ground. We stayed as a couple with a dog. The stream and swimming hole are clean and fresh. And the grounds were large and relaxing. Just a bit of a warning , the bathrooms are just glorified out houses. They may or may not have paper. More

I honestly cannot think of a single negative thing about our experience at Rip Van Winkle. We stayed for three days over Memorial weekend and it was pleasantly quiet. Decided to try this campground for quick weekend getaway. We were able to get 2 sites together on last minute notice. The sites are VERY wooded but average sized. The roads are narrow but manageable.
