Whistlewood is an amazing place nestled in lovely countryside. Beautiful grounds, casual and friendly atmosphere. We had a cozy, yet spacious room with the most incredible view out sliding doors to a private patio. Breakfast was great-Maggie makes a killer corn muffin! Coming back at the end of the day was like coming home! We sat by the fire in... more

Whistlewood is a lovely place. The rooms were wonderful, clean, inviting. The breakfasts were amazing. There was a fire in the fireplace and always fabulous goodies out on the dining room table. It is easy to find and not far from a wonderful town, Rhinebeck, NY. more

Visited Whistlewood several years ago and thought it would be the perfect getaway retreat for 4 Bridge playing, fun seeking ladies. It was even more enchanting than I remembered! Maggie made us feel right at home, relaxed, and perfectly pampered. Her pride and love for her beautiful farm are evident in every exquuisitre detail. Whistlewood is reason enough to visit... more

I was attending the Omega Institute and staying at the Whistlewood for the weekend of 9/18-9/20. Unable to check in earlier, I arrived tired adn hungry late Friday evening and was greeted by the warm inviting light of the B and B. Maggie had stayed up to welcome me and show me around. She offered tea and one of the... more

My wife and I just returned from a 2 day stay at this great B&B where we were able to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We were warmly greeted by Maggie who immediately made us feel comfortable opening up her home to two strangers. She showed us two rooms in the Carriage House and allowed us to choose one of... more

My mother, sister and I stayed at the Whistlewood this past weekend, 9/18 and 19th--it was wonderful. I am planning a return trip with my husband for the spring of 2010 and with my mother again in the fall of next year. I plan on making Whistlewood a necessity for my sanity! I highly recommend it. It was beautiful, clean,... more

Coming from NYC, I particularly enjoyed this B & B because it was not in town. Instead, it was on a horse farm in a lovely, rural setting. The main lodge was surrounded by woods, gardens, and pastures. There were multiple comfortable places, inside and outside, where one can sit and read, or look out on flower gardens and the... more

We had a fantastic experience at Whistlewood. We had a very young infant and were afraid they would be wary of us, but the proprietor greeted us with a "We LOVE having babies here," and indeed, that was the kind of hospitality we experienced at every step. The grounds are tranquil and beautiful, the accomodations spacious, immaculate, tricked out in... more

My fiance surprised me with a stay at the Whistlewood and it was a very nice weekend. Maggie is an excellent hostess and has very beautiful property. She is a great cook and we especially enjoyed the endless portions at breakfast. I loved waking up and being able to go visit her many horses. It is a great spot for... more

My husband and I just returned from a two night stay at Whistlewood. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Maggie makes the most delicious breakfasts -- buttermilk pancakes and french toast to die for! There is also a dessert table full of tempting treats available throughout the day. We stayed in the carriage house. Our room was immaculate, and the... more
