I will be booking our Oktoberfest 2010 vacation at Phoenicia Village. The cottage was clean, quaint, and comfortable! more

We booked into one of the cabins for a couple of nights, on a road trip from NYC to the Finger Lakes... The 'village' includes about 6 or 7 cabins of various sizes - in a small plot of land quite near to the road (so not really remote, if that is what you are looking for), foresty and a... more

My wife and I spent two nights recently and we couldn't have been happier with this motel. For the price, our room was extremely clean, it was extremely quiet and Sara (owner) was incredibly friendly. For example, my Blackberry broke the night before we left, and I decided to have the insurance company overnight the new one to the motel.... more

My wife and I stayed for three days as part of our ‘East Coast’ trip and we really enjoyed every minute. This was in cabin 6 (one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/diner) and was just perfect for us. It is compact and spotlessly clean. The location is just splendid set amongst mature fir trees and the hammock and outside eating/sitting areas are... more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick Catskills weekend getaway and this was perfect. It was super clean, not fancy, but charming and exactly what we needed. The hammocks and picnic tables added a little extra and it was close enough to walk to town and eat at our favorites Sweet Sue's and Brio's. (Nice kitchen, though if... more

My husband and I stayed here with six other adults (age range from 30-60) for a two day ski trip to Bellayre in January. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The eight of us were split up into three cottages. Everyone felt comfortable and slept well. This is a no frills place, but you can tell it's well cared... more

Cottages are all clean and they provide all the basic amenities plus the kitchenettes have everything you need if you want to eat in. Quiet area (no road noise) plus each cottage has a grill and picnic table. There is a grass area for kids to play and a firepit for a campfire. Owners were extremely nice and helpful with... more

This does not look like the kind of place where we would stop, but we booked it based on tripadvisor recommendations. The only motel we could find in the area. Very affordable; friendly owners; on Hwy., 28 but far back from the road so we heard no road noise at all. My wife thought it was too rustic; motel unit... more

We only stayed one night, and we'd definitely recommend it for a nice, relaxing place to stay in the catskills. Nice location, fantastic service/staff and very clean. Can't be beaten for the price! more

The cottage looked much smaller than was in the website photos. The bed in the bedroom was very squeeky. The bedding had strange odor that got on my pajamas. The sound from the major road in front of the place was very loud with traffic at night. It was near nice hiking trails and the the owner was very nice... more

Management response from

Thanks for taking the time to review our place, though of course we're sorry you didn't enjoy your time with us. Our two top priorities here are cleanliness and accurate expectations. We recently discovered that our new front-loading washing machines have to be left open at night, and this may have been the source of the problem with your sheets....
