We found this hotel an excellent base, only a mile off the motorway but very peaceful in beautiful grounds. Our room was a "junior suite" but in reality a very large bedroom with a good bathroom. It had great views through large opening windows over the park behind the hotel and the moat below. There is no mini-bar or coffee... More

This is a very pretty hotel, a nice property with atmoshpere, history and lovely grounds. The rooms are furnished in an antique style. It could be quite romantic for a weekend getaway. The Monet house and garden at Giverny is close by. However, basic maintenance has been neglected, such as leaky faucets, and a bathtub that doesn't drain properly. There... More

Recently stayed in this hotel as it had been recommended as a venue for our wedding reception next summer. I am very glad we did - as it is possibly one of the worst hotels I have stayed in over the past few years. The Outside - quite a stunning looking property with a lovely long drive up to it.... More

The Chateau is very pretty from the outside, unfortunately inside it needs some basic maintenance to qualify for it's four star rating - simple things like floor tiles loose in our room and the toilet door not fitting properly making it impossible to close. The rooms are musty, damp and smell dusty (this was in August!). Their cleaning policy needs... More

We got room 16 which was a nightmare. We couldn't open the windows because the panels were full of bird poo heaps (revolting). Anyway it was very hot outside too. The bedroom was old and was nowhere near what you expect from a 4 star hotel. The worst bedroom I've ever seen. It was so hot , there was no... More

Beautifully typical Normandy chateau. Good staff, convenient location, great dinners, comfortable bed! Our room at the top was charming but inaccessible for the unfit. Ask for a lower room if you can't climb many stairs. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Stumbled upon this gorgeous property while looking for a place to stay outside of Giverny (Monet's house 10mins. away). Drove up long gravel driveway through wooded grounds not having any idea what to expect. What luck! The chateau is STUNNING and the staff was great, very helpful and professional. The rooms are furnished with period furniture and ceilings have the... More

One of the most charming hotels visited after many years of travel in France. The cuisine was excellent and our room was delightful. All this was backed up by extremely welcoming and efficient staff. The dining room and lounges were in keeping with the chateau which was itself in beautiful grounds. As if this was not enough, one is quite... More
